I am confused by your statement that as a hiring manager you would prefer to have someone from HR discuss the benefits package with someone you offered a position.  I thought that as a good manager we should own the process and handle all aspects of the offer process and answer any of the prospect's on the experts to fill in any gaps (leveraging your relationships), but still being the main contact.

Extending offers - NEED URGENT REPLY please...

I have a meeting tomorrow for which this cast would be very helpful for me.

Thanks Wendii. After listening to it, I find myself on the opposite side of what MT suggest for this.  

Everyone's situation is different, I'm in a tough one with multiple potential offers at different stages of progress, with neither one being completely comparable to the other (in different countries, with different types of companies, and the economic and employment pros and cons of each location post contract), family impact of staying or going, and a few other things. 

At least it's good to have a choice, but it's a very difficult and potentially career-altering one.
