Our guidance on presentation interviews, when you have no advance warning of the topic, time, and so on.

Interviews sometimes contain a request for a presentation - especially for managers. Since presenting is an important skill, it makes sense to test for it in an interview. Sometimes you'll be given the topic and the rest of the details and be asked to bring a presentation. In that case, our presentation guidance elsewhere will be appropriate. However, in other cases, you may be told you're going to have to give a presentation but not be given any of the details, or the presentation will be sprung on you during the interview itself. In either case, we have a step by step guide on what to do.

This Cast Answers These Questions

  • How do I prepare for a presentation interview?
  • What do I do when asked to give a presentation in an interview?
  • How do I split the time I'm given when I have to give a presentation in an interview?
