We spend a lot of time telling Manager Tools managers that feedback needs to be behavioral and specific. It has to be something they can see, not something vague like, "be more collaborative". That doesn't mean that you will never be given "feedback" like this. To our chagrin, the vast majority of managers are not Manager Tools managers, and don't know how to give good feedback.
