I simply can't imagine giving Marshall Goldsmith any ranking less than 4, so this book got a 4.
This book is written for CEOs choosing their successor. It is good, quite good...but it serves a narrow niche. And if you're not in that niche, there's little of value for you here.
That said, anything Marshall writes is worth reading. Because it's so brief, I encourage anyone who reads a lot to run through it. You'll like his plain-spoken approach.
