Does anyone know of a free online DISC assessment tool. I have done similar tests in the past, free and fee based, but not the DISC model and I would be interested to see the result.

I see elements of all 4 in myself - does that make me strong "C" for Confused? Or "S" for Screwed?

PS - M&M - Really enjoyed the D Podcast. Although to be fair I'm not sure there has been a bad one yet! Great job!

You're an "N". Normal.

All of us have all 4 of the primary styles of behavior "in us" at all times. You should be able to see a bit of each of the 4, though there usually is one or two that are dominant.

There are no free tools. The technology/process is well copyrighted, and rightly so. If someone does one for you, they paid for it up front.

Basically, there are hundreds you can go to for probably 20-30 bucks. And, I can recommend them if you need something right away. Not a lot of difference.

If I may, though, you may want to wait. We're going to have a DISC tool in the near future (though not less than 90 days). Ours will tie in to many other areas of MT, and also allow us to tailor guidance for you. We may charge a little more, because we're going to go further in the results and discuss managerial implications which other sites do not offer.

It's a privilege....

Mark,

Sounds great and I'm in no rush so I'll wait to see what you put together.

Hi first post...

Glad this question was here as I like OP saw me fit into every section...

Also you say process is copyrighted but here http://www.internalchange.com/what-is-disc.htm says not copyrighted just wondered who is correct :)

Thanks for the note - welcome aboard!

You're right to note that Disc itself is not copyrighted. What HAS been copyrighted is the set of questions and detailed analyses that Inscape uses to come up with the ratings. Their 28 questions of 4 words each is the common way (though there are others) that people learn of their style.

Mike and I are looking into our own test, and there are pluses and minuses to it. We like being independent, but don't want to spend a great deal of time re-inventing the wheel.

We'll figure it out this year, and keep everyone posted as we go.
