Hi,
I'm not sure exactly where to post this, but it's a question I've had for years. Who do you, as a manager, give holiday gifts too? I like to give gifts to my boss, salespeople, and direct reports, but is this appropriate?
Thoughts?

Holiday Gift "protocol"
It's certainly not inappropriate. There are some pitfalls, such as the choices you make for each. I'll never forget watching two national sales reps prepare to wrap their gifts to their sales assistants. One had spent $500, the other $30. Oops.
The thought is wonderful, and I encourage you to do so privately.
And, sorry, but our full cast on this didn't make it into the mix for this year, so we'll roll it out next year.

Thanks, Mark!
Merry Christmas, and I hope that the coming year is as prosperous as the last! Thanks for all your work.
