Hi guys

Thank you very much for your useful podcasts ! They are really great.

May I still make a simple suggestion :

>>> start the podcasts by stating their title <<<

then only say hello, state the date, play the music etc.

That would save us time when identifying the podcasts by ear (while driving for example) and be able to jump to the one we are searching ...

Good day

Mike and Mark -

Do you have any plans in the works to begin to catagorize the podcasts by topic? Is this even possible in a podcast format? Something that I have noticed, is for example, that when I want to brush up on the feedback model. I have to hop around about 5 different podcasts over th course of about 12 weeks or so. This makes it difficult to browse the podcast by topic. Instead if I could go straight to feedback I could see all of the podcasts related to feedback and access them immediately.

Brad,

I agree wholeheartedly. We do have plans to provide a better "index" of the podcasts (think "tagging", like Flickr). Alas, one more thing on the "to do" list. ;-)

Thanks,
Mike

Great. Can't wait.

Thank you for your prompt feedback. I have come to appreciate your words, your advice, and even more importantly, your example over the past few months. Thanks for serving as a role model.

Great to hear this, in the meantime here’s something you can do if you use iTunes, to set up different categories

1. In pod cast view right click on the cast and choose “get Info”, then click on the info tab and in the comments box add your category keyword e.g. for the Strategy and SWOT cast add the keyword strategy. Repeat this for all the casts (yes I know it’s a bit of work but it’s worth it) adding the category keyword of your choosing e.g. feedback, one on ones, communications etc. For the casts that don’t fit a specific category I created a keyword called “general”

2. Now create a SMART play list with the following criteria

ARTIST – IS- Michael Auzenne and Mark Horstman
CATEGORY – CONTAINS- Strategy or whatever your chosen keyword is

Check mark the boxes “match ALL of the following rules and the” Live Updating” box.

Save your play list with a meaningful name e.g. MT Strategy or MT Feedback and then sort each play list by ascending track number.

I have been using this method since the integrated casts were launched and find it effective, I just chhose the appropriate playlist and can then listen to all those casts in chronological order.

Hope some folk find it useful.

Some very useful tips from aspiring CEO.

For variations you can also use grouping, modifier the artist and or album and the one I prefer is create a new Genre: Manager Tools Member or Manager Tools Standard can easily be expanded to include groupings like Feedback.

It all depends on how you currently navigate to retrieve the 'casts.
