Looking at job adverts this evening , I noticed a few of them mention "non-contractual profit share bonus scheme"

Can someone explain what this is as its not something one would see in the NFP sector.
Thanks

Edmund-

This just means that the company doesn't have a formally managed profit sharing program, but does share profits with employees in many situations. Contractual profit sharing usually means that the company is in some way employee owned, and so distributions of profits are a function of stock ownership.

It can also mean that this is not a top level job, many of which come with contracts that guarantee profit sharing of some kind, in various forms. In other words, this job is not high enough to have a contract, but still is included in something the company does to share profits.

Thanks for that Mark and indeed for MT which is making me look at the profit sector more and more for new ideas that could be incorporated in to the NFP
