Hope all is well with those of you in London and the surrounding areas following the earthquake!

I hadn't noticed, but we haven't heard from wendii or stephenbooth_uk today! The news said it was pretty minor, so I hope they're just busy. Please let us know!
I'm about 200 miles away.. and though people as far away as me felt it.. I was asleep and didn't even realise there had been an earthquake till I read it on an Australian blog!
First I knew about it was when I saw on the news that it had happened, this is now the second earthquake I've slept through.
Thank you for the concern.
In today's Metro newspaper (a free newspaper given away on buses and at train stations) the editorial cartoon, Brook, today shows two fire fighters under a sign that reads "San Francisco Fire Dep't" reading a newspaper that has the headline "Market Rasen Earthquake". The caption is "My God -- a chimney pot fell off a roof". From what I gather that's pretty much the sort of outcome we're looking at, a little property damage but no serious injuries.
Tom, thank you for worrying!
Kate gets the credit for that!
It didn't feel minor at 1am this morning I can tell you.
USGS puts it at a 5.2. I gather people in California consider that noise, but if it happened in Baltimore, I'd certainly notice.

Minor?????!!!!!!
It didn't feel minor at 1am this morning I can tell you.
I live within 40 miles of the epicentre in Lincolnshire and had no idea what was going on.
I didn't sleep all night because I was a bit excited so feeling pretty tired right now.
It was certainly the talk of the office today.

I'm glad everyone is OK. I'm pretty sure if an earthquake of that magnitude hit here I would notice!

All things are relative :D
It was a big deal in the news largely because we don't get them, but most people slept through it - myself included.
