That depends.... what do you want them to be able to do? Job titles can vary a lot by company. We'll need to know what you want your area managers to do before we even guess.

Are you being interviewed for the post and want to know what sort of questions you're likely to face or are you interviewing people for the post and want to know what sort of questions you should be asking?

If it's the latter then you might find [url=http://www.manager-tools.com/2008/06/how%c2%a0to%c2%a0create%c2%a0a%c2%a... podcast useful[/url]. A lot of management, indeed work, is about behaviours so you want interview questions to examine the candidates behaviour based on past experiences, the cast leads you through a method to develop such questions.

Area manager? That's not to specific. Can you be clearer?

I can think of at least three positions that can be called area managers

Area Sales Manager - Sales
Therapeutic Area Manager - Science
Clinical Area Manager - Clinician/Statistician

Each and every one of these would require a completely different skill set and set of questions.
