Is it still appropriate to close an interview for a non business segment job?
I have an opportunity to interview for a position in the fire services ( I would be a full time firefighter) in the town I live in. From what I've heard "through the grapevine" I will be interviewed by the two chief's and the head of HR for the town.
My question is: Should I still close? I have been working on my close, but not sure if it fits this situation. I have closed before and it worked, so I know the power, but must admit, that I am uneasy about using it here.
Once again, thanks for all your assistance.
Closing for a non business interview
Yes, close the interview.
If the position is something you want, then you'd want to increase your chances of getting it. Closing could help you; it definitely can't hurt. So, if you could potentially improve your chances of getting your desired job with seven simple words, why wouldn't you?
Best of luck. Keep us posted.

If you want the position, then close.
