I have a dozen of so direct reports, and often if I discuss at home a work situation that happens to involve an employee, my spouse asks how much they make, irrelevant to the subject.
It makes me uncomfortable to disclose salary info to my spouse. How should i handle it?

Just say it is irrelevant to the subject and continue with the conversation on the matters at work that you are willing to share.
If your spoons insists, you can also say it is confidential company information you are not allowed to share.
You are uncomfortable for a good reason. It is sensitive information that should not be shared without a proper reason to share it. Just because he/she is your spouse is not reason enough.
