Has anyone else seen this article on why NOT to ask someone out for a business lunch?
I'm wondering what the thoughts are on the implication of this advice for improving your network.
This comes from bothsidesofthetable.com
Agree wholeheartedly
The article primarily emphasized realizing that asking someone to lunch is asking for a commitment. It's a withdrawal, not a deposit. You need to give back more than you get. The young, promising candidate in the article had little to offer the executive in return for the time lost.
