Is it appropriate to give project team members feedback on their status reporting right away? Does project management feedback fit into the framework for rolling out the trinity?

The casts did not mention waiting until you've had one-on-ones with team members, and the cast also used the full-fledged four-step feedback model (not the two-step peer model).

Cheers,
BJ

Does anyone have any advice about using the feedback model on project teams? I think the casts confused me a bit, because I don't know whether I should roll-out the trinity with the project team, or dive right into using the feedback model.

Cheers,
BJ

I am not familiar with project management. But, I would say you start with feedback (positive first) and one one ones....no matter what - these are vital. When you start doing these, everything Mike and Mark talk about starts making sense.

Good luck,

It depends on the nature of your organization. When I was a project manager working in a matrixed org I would have O3's with each team member but the focus was mostly on the work (15 minutes for them, 15 minutes for me). I think this is covered in a PM O3's cast somewhere. We sometimes talked about the team member's goals and their manager's goals for them and how the project work could be organized to try and satisfy both. I gave feedback using the peer feedback model since I wasn't technically anyone's manager. Let me know if you have additional questions. - Sam
