Forums

Hi everyone - I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not please feel free to move the thread or let me know where to move it.

I've just recently tidied up my CV according to the Career Tools podcast and my results are shown below. I would appreciate all comments, criticisms and suggestions from everyone on this forum as you all have far more experience than me!

In addition I have a few questions:

A- What do I do with certificates and awards gained during my time in school? Is it relevant at all to mention in my CV? I have a leadership certificate and have won awards for being the best student in the year among others.

B- As you can see below my responsibilities have completely jumped from my previous work experience to my current work. I was initially employed as an admin assistant and gradually I was given more and more responsibilities although I never received a salary increase or change in my title. Is there a way to explain this in the CV, or should I leave it as is?

C- We are having a review coming up soon and part of the review includes setting job titles. Any suggestions on the best title I should put forward looking at my responsibilities below?

 Thank you everyone in advance.

Im going to focus on the accomplishments and let someone else mention the rest:

1. You havent told us how you achieved all of your accomplishments, only some of them.

2. Achieved is a greater verb then both attained and "hit". Completed is more powerful then sucessfully...

3. Reading books isn't a accomplishment, you need to be able to connect this to revenues or costs in order for it to be.

4. You need to let the recruiter now when you achieved the accomplishment in order for the recruiter to gauge the value of the accomplishment. 1M £ cost reduction in 1 year is far better then 1M £ over 2 or 3 years.

 Hi Mattias

Thank you very much for providing your feedback. I guess from the lack of feedback from others my CV is either really bad or boring!

I would still very much appreciate your further feedback on other sections of my CV. Please feel free to send me a private message or we could talk over Skype if you wouldn't mind?

I will edit my CV to reflect your feedback, thank you again!
