I have senior manager resigning. He is taking a role with a competitor. We are going to announce the resignation (he is going to announce it to his team) on Tuesday. I will be holding his position in the interim and we are taking the MT advice of not hiring right away. How should I communicate the forward plan to 1 his team, 2 my leadership team, and 3 the company?
What should the order of my communication be?

I do have a very clear forward plan, and while this is not what I would have chosen, I do believe that every obstacle is an opportunity. I believe this is an opportunity for us to be better and I plan on seizing the opportunity.

It sounds like you are already on the right track. There are some podcasts for this. I would probably let him tell his team directly
