Hi,

This is a topic related to my personal life and some issues which I m facing right now.

I am a Business Graduate in Marketing.

Currently, I am a reviewer at http://beltsanderadvisor.com but the problem in my life is my peers.

They have mounted so much pressure on my to enter the corporate world rather than being an entrepreneur.

My dream, My Goal is to be a Businessman and be my own boss.

Whats your say on it.

Thanks.

I would recommend that you define that goal - becoming an entrepreneur - and define what steps it’s going to take to get there. Do you have the time, finances, support to do it right now? Maybe you need to start out in the corporate world and start your business on the side, eventually moving to your new venture completely?

Make your own plan and maybe your peers will be surprise you and be supportive.

If not, keep good relationships, and do what makes you happy.

I'm going to be blunt.

I've worked with many people over my career who tried to start their own businesses. Some were successful, most were not. One common trait of the successful is that they didn't give a freak what other people thought about their endeavors.

It's clear your main obstacle to success is yourself. You're paralyzed by worrying about what everybody else thinks about your endeavors.

"Why can I not select the career of my own?"

You can select the career of your own if you make the choice. You have to get past yourself on that one. The statement is not true any further than the limits you place on yourself.

"The problem in my life is my peers."

No, the problem is you. If you make the choice, go for it. If you're waiting for everyone else to give their approval, you might as well forget it.

"They have mounted so much pressure..."

Don't be a victim. If you want to be successful, you need to get used to people having negative reactions. Don't worry about it if people are dissing you. The time to worry is when they stop. Part of success is dealing with people poo pooing what you're doing. If you want to be be successful, get used to it.

I'm not trying to be mean, but your post is dripping with, "It's everyone else's fault that I'm not successful in achieving my goals." Stop pointing fingers at everyone else and start pointing them at yourself. You are your best bet for success.

Peer pressure and societal pressure can really bog you down. Before we talk about these external factors, it is essential to understand what exactly is stopping you from pursuing your entrepreneurial dreams? Is financial stability holding you back? Or perhaps lack to capital to start your own company? Or fear of failure? In order to overpower external pressure, you need to find out what is holding you back. And many a time, the things that hold us back from achieving our dreams come from within us. Once you win this internal battle, you will start finding ways to overcome external factors like money, stability, resources etc.
