I have published today an excellent article on PM Hut on Project Failure (which seems to be an issue gaining steam across PM Blogs). The article is entitled .

What's interesting about this article is that it first defines project failure, lists its most important causes, and finally suggests a solution to each & every one of the previously mentioned causes.

Notice the lack of communication being the first cause of project failure, which is already mentioned in a thread on manager tools here (in my opinion, however, the main cause of project failure is highly subjective, some say that it's the lack of executive support).

If you'd like a tool for managing your projects, you can use this application inspired by David Allen's GTD:

http://www.Gtdagenda.com

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version and iCal are available too.
