Hey everyone,

BLUF: My boss tears down her own team.

I think she thinks it endears her to others, but all it does is sow distrust. For example, she came to me and said she wanted me to take on a director role because "somebody has to, and Jack is too new here, and Jill is too stubborn, and Tommy is too scatter-brained." It wasn't framed as a desirable opportunity, and it made me uneasy that she was deriding colleagues who I respect. It made me wonder what she says to them behind my back.

She has a reputation of twisting the facts to make herself look good to the CEO and has shown no interest in team-building. Quite the opposite!

Any advice on how to deal with a manager like this?

Is there "a cast for that?"

Thank you
