Hello
I am currently working as a project manager for the Department of Nutrition and want to change industry. Wages and Opportunities are very spare. I have had several temporary contract for the last 5 years. Personnel with diploma (as I have it) is replaced by people with lesser degrees.
I have thought about alternatives and maybe the project management skills I have could be used in another industry. My idea is to apply as a project assistant in another industry (currently I am thinking about banking or insurance as those are quite strong in my home town) and learn about the industry and then step up to a project manager role again. I would prefer this on-the-job approach to a longer training.
Do you have any suggestions?
