I am an avid listener but have only recently decided to become more efficient and use Thunderbird's built-in RSS support.

As a (premium) registered user, which URL do I want? I have entered the following:

http://www.manager-tools.com/podcasts/feed/rss2
http://www.manager-tools.com/registered-members/rss.xml

The first seems to contain weekly podcasts, including today's, going back to 10/2006. The second seems to be sparsely populated containing, for examples, today's podcast but not last week's.

Am I doing something wrong or am I misunderstanding what should be there?

Thanks!

...Jake

I'm not sure which link is which, but there is a link for unregistered users that contains the normal podcasts.

Once a month, ostensibly, M&M release a registered user only podcast. These podcasts are only available if you registered, which is free.

The registered users feed includes BOTH the regular podcasts AND the registered users podcasts.

There's not a separate premium link for casts, though there is one for the premium content.

Hope that helps. :)

That's what I would have thought. But it is the registered user's feed that is sparsely populated and the regular feed that seems to have everything!

Close the view, then hold down the shift key when you open it. Do they appear?

Hmmm. I'm using Thunderbird to manage the RSS feed. I'mnot sure what "close the view" means. If you meant to click in another group and then shift-click when selecting the RSS feed, I did that and it didn't help.

My bad, I assumed ITunes. Holding down the shift when opening refreshes the list.

Now you have to wait for someone who uses Thunderbird. :)

Here's the lay of the land:

1. http://www.manager-tools.com/podcasts/feed/rss2 - Standard RSS Feed that exists in the iTunes directory. It has only WEEKLY shows and only 61 of them. 61 is completely arbitrary. But it only goes back so far to avoid excessive bandwidth from feed traffic.

2. http://www.manager-tools.com/registered-members/rss.xml - Registered members feed containing ALL the podcasts (both weekly and monthly). I just checked and, as far as I can tell, they are all in there (148 podasts, to be exact). I don't understand why you would only be seeing a sparsely populated feed.
