Has anyone used or know of DISC use for Chinese staff in China? I'd suggest the english version wasn't sensible owing to most of my staff not having great english skills.
Thanks,
Glenn

I have not known of anyone using DISC in China, I worked for a training company that used Belbin's and I am also familiar with Pyscho-Geometrics being used in China. I have been here over 6 years, and do business and language coaching.
You make a good point, first can your staff understand the English to answer the questions correctly. Then you may want to proceed.
It would be my pleasure to discuss this with you in more detail, especially if you are in China for a considerable length of time.
I also know that there are subtle cultural differences in DISC norms that mean different scales are required for different regions to get an accurate picture. Even between somewhere like Australia and USA the differences are enough to warrant a special DISC profile booklet for Australia vs USA.
I'd encourage you to keep looking - there should be something you can use that better matches your audience.
I am based in China and run a small start-up but we are very keen on getting and promoting the right people and I believe I could also do much better with communications with my staff. Therefore, I wonder if there now there is DISC profile/Test available for China (As the original post is quite old).

Yes!
You are quite correct about the language variances - it will make a significant difference.
It appears there is a Chinese translation - I found this via google: http://www.resourcesunlimited.com/DISC_Profile_Translations.asp
