Effective meetings - great quote

I have recently changed jobs from a sophisticated, effective orgranization to one in the chaos of a turn around. In my first 60 days I have been amazed at the ineffectiveness of the meetings I have been to. No agendas, running long, etc.

Two weeks ago I re-listened to the effective meeting poscasts and implemented the actions. After the second meeting, our VP of operations said to me "I'll come to your meetings because they have an agenda, end on time, and we have action items."
