I have been discussing with my friends, the employers perspective on recruiting. We have been considering the merits of companies recruiting using employee recommendations, speculative approaches, agencies as well as online/offline job advertising. Our consensus seems to be that they are in order of risk to the employer, from low to high, as I have given them.
I am wondering if employers, being well used to recruiting via all these routes and by the use of a single pipeline, standardized screening, interviewing and evaluation whether the overall risk, as opposed to the potential risk, is very much evened out when it comes to making the final choice.
I would welcome any feedback on this idea.
