I wanted to pass along a podcast I ran across that might be of interest to new managers. It is an interview with Fire Chief John Buckman, who was a former president of International Association of Fire Chiefs and he is currently the Chief of German Township Volunteer Fire Department in Indiana. He has some very awesome things to say about effective management and direct's perception of management. He draws from his 30 years as serving as a fire chief.
While it has a slant to the fire service, he speaks on this podcast about vision, integrity, and commitment and offers excellent pearls of wisdom that cross all levels of management. The interview is on the January 4th podcast and the interview starts at approximately 12 minutes into this podcast.
