BLUF: Are there any particular European cultural considerations to take into account when using e.g. "I'd like an offer and here's why"?
Background: I am an American who has been living and working in Germany for the past 11 years. I am very well integrated into German society yet retain a lot of my American style and mannerisms (which I would describe as overall positive attributes). I have an interview coming up with a large company. I am unsure how I would "close" the interview according to the MT recommendations, taking into consideration that, while Germans do tend to be direct, this style of upfront energy is viewed with skepticism from Germans (especially older ones). Is there a German-approved way of doing this? My interviewers will be a mix of Germans, French and British - all 50+ years old.
I would greatly appreciate any tips and shared experiences from other professionals working cross-culturally.
