 I am a Dietary manager,,I have 11 staff memeberrs, Im at wits end,,In order to replace someone that is not doiung the job,,I have to wait almost 2 weeks for a new hire to be approved,,The crew knows this of course ,,so they feel some power,,that aside,,i have a dishwasher and 2 others that work the night shift,,i have wrote all of them up for clocking out late up to 1/2 hr, That puts me in over time,,Yet still it occures,,i have worked with the problems and still no results,,i ask people to do stuff and it conyinualy does not get done,,i have guys who have outside isswues that keep requiring them to leave early or go home ,,health issues,,kids ect,,Im sick of it ,,all of it,,I have no clue what else to do,,i have tried nice guy,,concerned guy,,strict guy,,firerd people,,moved positions,,on and on,,reward systems,,nothing works with some people,,and hireing new ones is basicaly a crap shoot,,min wage workers are a pain i,,any suggestions would be greatfuly appreciated,,:)

There's no simple answer, but you need to start with the basics.  Things won't change overnight, but it starts with you and your belief that it can be better.
