Hi All,
I will shortly be moving into a new role in a new company and have a question around the importance of skip reviews from the individual contributors perspective.
If possible it would be great to get some advice on the following;
(1) How long should you wait before requesting a skip review when moving to a new company?
(2) How often should we be having skip reviews as individual contributors i.e. quarterly, every 6 months etc.
(3) What should be the main goal and focus of the conversation?
I have had skip reviews fairly regularly in the past but found that they were not all that productive and would really appreciate some suggestions on a structure that could really leverage these meetings towards my goal of being promoted from associate to team manager in the next 18 months.
Cheers and all the best,
Steven Cochrane.
