I am surprised I have not seen anything from Mark or Wendy about John Deere's "pulse check" process. It looks similar to MT's one-on one check in: (https://www.manager-tools.com/forums/one-one-check-question) except that HR has found a way to automate it and take it out of the hands of the manager. Interesting.
