I found MT a 4 years ago when I took my first managerial role. I didn't know it then. I REALLY needed career tools ten years before. I was learning to coach others before I could manage myself.
Pieces are starting to come together. I am in that stage where I can look back and see my errors. The things I could a have forsaw and avoided or have handled far better.
(It helps to have a Keystone Kops soundtrack embedded into those memories)
One positive though is that I am gaining better knowledge of myself. I am now practicing the ability to function less from a gut-feeling / quick draw reaction mode to more of a considered & measured approach.
