Forums

 Good evening, all.

I've been with MT and CT, both, since their beginnings.  I purchased the interviewing series (and finally got the job I wanted after deciding that I needed to switch companies,) and I've attended the EC / EM conferences.  One might say that I've drunk the MT and CT Kool-Aid, and deeply.

The beautiful thing is that, in my new role, I've found a director and a company that are both ethical and interested in improving.  I introduced my director to MT and he's on board, doing O3s, starting positive feedback, and we have our first skip-level reviews coming up in two weeks.

Mark and Mike, thank you for helping me achieve the potential instilled in me by my parents, education, and experience.  I'd begun to give up hope when I stumbled across you guys.  Honest.

My reason for coming up for air today is that I'm struggling a bit with my MT resume.  How can I distill my efforts in planning, leading, organizing, and directing my team's efforts into simple, clear, easily digested resume bullet points?  Nearly everything I do is accomplished through my team, and nearly everything we're doing has no precedent -- at least not at this facility.  How do I quantify, for example, our new work scheduling process, getting other teams to participate in the process, and getting our customers to participate as well -- especially when what we're doing today is less than I know is possible, or even desirable, but it's still light-years beyond what we were doing only 18 months ago, before I joined the organization.

Hello pb1495...and welcome to the forums.

Can you measure or, at least, sketch out a thumbnail estimate in time savings? Can you identify situations where significant costs were avoided (or in some cases true cost cutting occurred) due to the changes. e.g.

Reduced customer order completion time 20% by...

Increased net profit 40% following process re-engineering...

Introduced new processes saving $xx,000 through reduced licensing costs ...

I most certainly defer to the MT gang and Wendii is a *real* expert at this stuff! So take my counsel for what it is worth to you.  Again, welcome to the forums.
