I recently discovered the Manager Tools podcasts and have quickly become a big fan. I can see how to implement a lot of the guidance pretty quickly in the context of my organisation, a large audit firm.

However, one concept I'm not sure how to implement effectively is One on Ones. In theory I would love to do this with my teams. I'm just not sure how to go about it. The structure of my job is that I work on different audits throughout the year, and have different teams made up of different people, working for me for different timeframes. This could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months.

For longer audits I can see how using the One on Ones would be relatively simple to implement. It's the shorter timeframes I'm not too sure about.

Has anyone else here tried this in the context of audit teams? If so, how did you go about it? Did it work well for you?

Lots of questions, all feedback welcome!!

Thanks for reading.
