I am taking up a new product management role in a highly technical software business which historically hasn't really had a formal product management function.
In reality the job is part product management, part program management. This plays to my strengths as I have a hybrid skill set that covers product strategy, business planning, software product innovation, project management and R&D team leadership roles.
Reading through all the 'First 90 days...' materials one of the key recommendations is about establishing some baselines to help monitor progress and advancement.
I'm wondering if there are any software product manager readers out there who could help me with some metrics that are applicable to the product management space?
