Hey,

A couple of questions:
1) For a position where I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) I have the name of the hiring manager, should I use that name in my cover letter, or do you think the risk is not worth it? I tried calling HR to confirm, but they would not give me any details on the hiring manager (something that I've noticed happen several times before)
2) In cases where I'm able to only get the name of the recruiter, should I use his/her name on the cover letter?

I've always found the good old fashioned To Whom It May Concern works best.

As long as you use a grammatically correct phrase that anyone (which means any gender or position level) would read.
