I like my company, I like my job, I like my team, I like my manger's boss, I like how my manager deal with people taking care of them. But there's something I don' tl ike working with him. That makes feel uncomfortable.
He doesn't do meetings. And he's awfull with time management and email tracking.
His manager needs to send to VP a bi-weekly report and we need to send to my manager our comments.
He manages three departments, so we are 3 managers reporting to him.
I am the only one who is filling the report and sending him the reports for feedback and so he can compile ideas of the 3 departments and then send it to his manager. I realise that I'm the only one sending him the report, I also realised that pretty often he forgets to send the report to his manager. Today I'm feeling a little bad as his manager sent us an email to all of us saying that he was disappointed about the reporting, he said we missed the last week report and we missed today's report. I feel bad because I send him my part. I was tempted to reply to my manager manager but that might not be a good idea but at the same time I'm doing my job providing to my manager the info he's supposed to send!
I talked with my manager in the past to have regular meetings etc etc
but he does it 2 weeks and then he quits.
Also my other peers reporting to him are like him so I don't want to be the person always requesting meetings and always requesting to work efficiently.
I'm a C I guess is in my nature, I like order and processes, he likes improvising, that's fine. But I don't feel good today about receiving emails complaining about our performance when I'm the only 1 of 4 who did his part. Thanks.

So you're normal. You have a lot of things there you like. Your boss has made some moves to accommodate you. You're in a good position.

You're a C, sounds like he's an I. We all have our strengths, and weaknesses. C's and I's tend to have opposites. So, that's either a source of conflict, or an opportunity to be there for each other.

Clarification - You can't change your boss, don't try.

You can help your boss though. You could ask him if he'd like you to compile the report for him. You know how busy he is, and this reporting stuff is right up your alley...

Great idea. Just make sure you actually get the reports from your peers...
