Dear All,
I am looking for software companies that provide a product that enables large organizations to make employees aware of stretch opportunities or developmental assignments within the organization. The key features of this product would be:
- Ability for managers to input available developmental assignments
- Ability for employees to search available developmental assignments.

Can you do a low tech version?
Why do you want such a custom tool? I would try something cheap and flexable like a internal webpage that gets promoted as through the channel for standard company announcements. Or you could create a mailing list via Google groups or something similar to try and setup a marketplace. Is there any way to flag internal job openings as part of this development program with whatever system HR is already using? Would it be possible to have a face to face where interested (or high potential) emplyees are invited to attend a monthy lunch and get to hear managers with development opportunities speak about the work in their area?
Don't get me wrong, I think your goal is worthly. I just think there might be a low(er) tech solution out there that's could get you 90% of what you want. - Sam
