Good news! Yesterday one of my directs was selected to be my successor. I was not involved with the interviews. Three internal candidates applied and the one I had been working with for the past year made the grade. He is very happy and I'm happy for him. He made a point to come and thank me for all the help after he received and accepted his offer. He also asked me to be his mentor. Guess what web site I sent him to first?

Starting Monday July 14th, he will be the IT Manager of the engineering IT support team and I report to the CIO to embark on the rebuilding of our help desk. Very exciting.

Thank you all for your help and support over the past few years. Manager Tools has been an excellent resource and I continually recommend it. Now I think I need to update my bio on the MT forums (and certainly my resume.)

Based on the "hidden fourth factor" explained in "Resume Update 2008" I presume....

Congrats Chuck!

HMac,

Definitely! I was thinking the same thing about the hidden fourth factor! I love that cast! I made a few touch ups based on it, but haven't had to use them yet.

I also like the "global" element. I have several accomplishments that lend themselves to that and didn't recognize them until the resume update cast.
