How do you deal with a senior colleague who constantly find chance to pick on you?

Are the comments personal, or are they about your work product?

Are his facts true, and he only focuses on the bad stuff, or is he misrepresenting?

Does he do this publicly, or just one on one?

Do you report up into him?

Try acknowledging his interest in you. Thank him for his critques and make a specific effort to improve. Over time, he could become your greatest fan -- which, if he is hard to impress, could be a feather in your cap. At worst, if you can't get anywhere or find his reasons to be really off, you have at least made an effort and may have learned a thing or two along the way.

Pranks. You know like Jim does to Dwight on The Office.

No, seriously, give us some more details! What does he do/say to pick on you?
