I'm a recent college graduate in the US, and I'm going through the exciting/terrifying process of finding a job. I have prepared a resume, manager tools-style, and am feeling pretty confident about it. However, one of the positions I'm applying for is in Europe, and they have requested a CV. How is a CV different from a resume? Should it be longer? Should it include more academic highlights - lectures delivered, etc?

Thanks for your help!

a resume is the same as a CV.  In academia or research circles, they use CV and expect all your academic achievements, published papers, peer reviews and research grants etc.  In Europe, they call a resume CV.
