I'm a question machine today.

I know MT recommends NOT including awards, ratings, etc on resumes, as most people don't know what they mean.  But if I'm applying to an internal job, would it be OK to include my yearly evaluation rating as an accomplishment bullet?

I was rated at the highest level possible last year (known here as "Star" (and I owe much of that to MT, btw)).  This is a company-wide system, so an internal hiring manager would know what it means.  I think it could be one more thing to catch a hiring manager's eye.

Thoughts?

Hi DB,

Why waste the space on something the hiring manager will be able to find out anyway? Demonstrate a specific value by giving a business related accomplishment. If the hiring manager wants to know your rating he'll a) be able to guess from your marvellous accomplishments and b) go ask HR.
