Background: I'm an MBA student at Purdue writing a paper on the risks/rewards of negotiating salary as a non-executive new hire. Ideally, my paper will provide actionable guidance to all candidates, whether switching jobs or coming out of undergrad/grad school. Only salary is my focus, no other part of the offer package. The interview will last about 20 minutes, unless you want to offer more expert insight!
