Being new, I looked for information on this topic, but didn't find any.

You are recommneding standing weekly meetings for both the staff and the 1-to-1's. In September for example, I already have trips planned for 3 of 4 weeks. This is a conflict with your recommendation of not changing the meeting times. What are your recommendations?

What's your succession plan? Get the next person in line to lead the meeting. It's a development opportunity. Maybe spread it across a few of your directs. On the day of the meeting, call in for teleconference.

I frequently travel and in those instances I do the weekly staff mtgs via conference call.
