Turnover Time

It's been a while since I posted (or even read) in the MT forums for a while. It has been a very hectic few weeks. One of my indirects in our Raleigh office resigned March 12 and was escorted out the same day. While flying down to interview replacements one of my directs in Wisconsin announced his resignation. We've got the Raleigh new hire online. He's going through new hire training with one of my directs and I've got another direct on vacation. We're operating with skeleton crew plus one temp. What fun!

I won't get in to all the gory details of why the Raleigh IT person left, but it wasn't all that friendly. The Wisconsin direct report left because someone handed him his ideal (non-IT) job at Harley-Davidson.

The one bright spot in all this is that my direct who went to Harley credited me and Manager Tools for the change in our environment since I started a year and a half ago, his growth, and his success at landing the new job. What a great feeling of satisfaction that was!
