I seem to have peaked in my career as a "Team Lead" and I don't understand why.  What do managers (and higher) look for that I don't have or are not doing.  Must one be "type A" to be promoted?

As I am unsure of your daily activities and how your role is defined, it is very difficult to answer this question. 

I work with several managers and supervisors who are not type A and are able to elicit the proper priorities and  behaviors from their DR's. 

Have you asked you manager how your performance ranks and what key areas they would like to see you improve in for that next role?

For that matter do they know that you are interested in tht next role?
