I'll be retiring soon. What do I do with all those notebooks I've been filling with notes from O3s and general business meetings? Does the organization "own" them (the org purchased them)? What if I ever need to refer to my notes for any reason after I'm gone?

Influenced by my time working on contract as an individual contributor, I leave these notebooks to my successor.

To ease things, I keep separate notebooks for (a) general business meetings (b) O3s (c) personal.  (a) serves as context and jump-start for those who take over my roles. (b) gives continuity and boost specifically for my managerial successor.  (c) contains nothing proprietary, and unlike the other two, goes with me instead of staying with the organization.
