I'm one of those people who took most of your advice about resumes, but not all of it. I left the oldest five jobs (about five years) off the bottom of my resume because I felt they weren't relevant to what I'm hoping to do now. What does five months of work as a telemarketer 25 years ago really say about me today? Now that I see the whole list together on one page, the resume paints me as more than just my IT career -- it's a longer history, but it's more well-rounded too. Retail sales, telemarketing, computer lab assistant, summer intern, front-office work... things that speak to more than web development and database work. I couldn't see that until I got it all on one page.
