I am following the new messages in the forum via the RSS feed in Google Reader, and I am noticing that whenever someone edits a forum post, both the original and the edited version will show up in the RSS feed.
Is it possible to remove the superseded versions, or is this technically "forbidden"?

Would love to help! I took a look at the feed and don't see the problem you're describing. If you can contact us via email with some examples or specifics, I'll have someone follow up (customerservice AT manager-tools.com).
Thanks,
Mike
I see the same.
I use My Yahoo and see the same thing.
Problem still exists, but now aggravated by forum spam
Mike, since a week or two, the usability of the RSS feed for the forum has degraded further.... You guys are excellent at keeping/taking spam out of the actual forums, but the spam still shows up in the RSS feed. I have the feeling that the two problems are related, and that the spam issue may make it easier to find and fix. Any chance?

Noticed the same in my Google reader. Going to publish this, then edit and add additional text.
This is the edited version with the additional text. The spam in Google Reader is much more annoying to me than the dublicates posts.

On the spam issue, I'm equally frustrated. :-( Unfortunately, the Akismet module which handles the spam, generally prevents it from showing up in the forums, but doesn't do anything about the RSS feeds. I've taken some actions to reduce the number of spammers that are able to register; I'm hopeful that will help mitigate the issue.
As far as removing the previous version when an edit is done ... easy, get your post right the first time, folks!!! ;-) [kidding] I'll ask Kreg (who largely does all this stuff, folks) to take a look and see if we can figure something out.
Thanks,
Mike
