Hi,

The company I work for initiated severe, across the board cost cutting program.

The part of the business I am running has been bringing very good profits (significantly above industry average) but because the harsh cuts it will stop to perform.

The results of my work (in terms of numbers) are publically known and published monthly in all industry magazines, even though I am below the C-level in management structure. They are considered indicative of larger developments.

I have this dilemma: if I leave now, the results in my CV/resume will be outstanding. If I wait till I get a new job offer I risk having only average results at best.

Should I leave now at the peak or only after finding a new job?

(Money is not a problem, if I leave now I'll get 5 months wages + I got another 6 months saved in bank)

Network now.  Begin your search.  Prepare for interviewing.

Don't resign until you have accepted an offer elsewhere.

PS:  It's unclear what your post implies:  your group is above industry level profitability, yet your firm is stopping operations?  Seems odd at best.
