I have the PDFs from the premium content feed in iTunes as a podcast. I have my phone subscribed to that podcast, but the PDFs do not show up in any list on the iPhone after syncing. The list of PDFs in iTunes is not the same as other podcasts because there are no boxes to check. Should I be able to view them on my iPhone (using the iPod application) or can I only view the PDF slides on iTunes?
Thanks,
Mike
The description of the
The description of the Enhanced feed on the RSS feeds page states that the slides are embedded in the files and can be viewed on an iPhone or video iPod. I guess this means that you'll need to switch from the feed you're currently using to the Enhanced feed, which also gives you chapter marks, to be able to view the slides whilst you listen. For reading the shownotes or the slides independant of listening to the casts you may have to copy them to your iPhone outside of iTunes. Perhaps someone who is more familiar with the iPhone can help you more. I don't have one myself as they are not available on any of the networks I use. Everyone I know at work who has one is complaining about network coverage/availability/capacity issues.

Experience is how you avoid failure, failure is what gives you experience.
Enhanced slides can be seen, PDFs cannot
I do see the slides on the enhanced feed. It is the PDFs that I am wondering about. Those go back to the first podcasts including the slides for the basics whereas the enhanced feeds started around July of 2008 I think.
Try emailing the PDF
Try emailing the PDF files to yourself on whatever email you're using on your iPhone.
Or sign up for Evernote and put the PDFs in there. They have an iPhone app as well as clients for all major platforms.
Thanks Terri. I use the
Thanks Terri. I use the Air Sharing application which serves the same purpose. It makes my iPhone become a drive on my desktop computer and I can transfer the PDFs. I was just hoping that it could be done through iTunes. Maybe in a future iPhone firmware release.

Mike, I don't believe there
Mike,
I don't believe there is the ability to view PDFs from the iPhone from the premium documents feed. You can view them in iTunes (on your PC or Mac), but not on the iPhone itself.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this to be a limitation of the implementation of iTunes on the iPhone.

I don't think that iTunes
I don't think that iTunes supports this as a native feature.
You might be able to get them to your iPhone or iPod Touch using the Stanza eBook program which has support for reading content out of PDF files:

You do need to have WIFI connectivity options between your computer and the iPhone/Touch to do the data access. I've used this for other PDFs but haven't yet tried it with the MT content.
