Hey Team,
I would like to have the legacy podcasts (before Jan 2008) available as a subscribed podcast in itunes. Right now the manager tools and career tools subscriptions don't go all the way back to the beginning. How can I do this?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Members Only Podcasts
Michael,
If you join as a member (it is free) there is a member's only itunes feed - http://www.manager-tools.com/registered-members/rss.xml That is the URL for the feed. You will need to enter you user name and password in itunes to get it to download. I downloaded them all and it was really nice. One tip is that after you do that unsubscribe from the normal RSS feed or you will get double downloads of all the new shows.
If you need anymore help just let me know.

Same issue today
Hi,
I have just got a new computer and want to download some of the older casts.
In the Manager-Tool standard rss feed in iTune the oldest podcast I get is dated 7/7/08.
In the Manager-Tool premium content rss feed in iTunes the oldest podcast I get is dated 7/7/08
In the Manager-Tools premium content document feed in iTune the oldest podcast I get is dated 4/7/05
On the podcast feeds I have right clicked and selected the option "Show all available casts" and I am not getting the earlier casts.
Any suggestions please
Thanks

The "premium content" feed is the one you want
According to http://www.manager-tools.com/podcasts/manager-tools?page=16, the first podcast ("Solution to a stalled technical career") came out on 26 June 2005. The one-on-one casts are both dated 3 July 2005, and the O3 Q&A is 10 July. So assuming that your "4/7/05" is Australian-formatted, then accounting for timezones, the only cast you might be missing from the premium content feed is the very first cast (which you can pick up from the "Basics" page, or the all casts link I gave above.
I believe we're all supposed to sign off our posts with "Oy! Oy! Oy!" now, aren't we?
Thanks MattPalmer for your
Thanks MattPalmer for your note.
Absolutely Oy!Oy!Oy! - we had a lot of fun with that at the Sydney Conference last week!
I think your timing analysis is about right - unfortunately I am only seeing the earliest materials for the feed with the PDF/Shownotes (05), but for the actual audio podcasts I am only seeing audio back to 08, so missing the early years of the actual podcasts.
I have researched iTunes re force downloads and I am not getting any additional podcasts.
Any further suggestions will be gratefully received.
Kind regards
Jason
Jason, We only started
Jason,
We only started producing the enhanced (i.e., with embedded slide images) versions of the podcasts in 2008, so that's all you'll see in that feed. Shows prior to that are not enhanced and are therefore only in the members-only feed.
